Study the wild.
Earn its trust.

Wildbound is a creature research and survival game. Walk into a living wilderness, learn how its animals live, win them over without a single capture, and breed lineages nobody has seen before.

Day 1. The valley is wider than the maps. Something glowed in the reeds at dusk.

How it plays

A field researcher, not a trainer

You are not here to collect. You are here to understand, and the wild only opens up to people who pay attention.

Observe

Every animal has needs, a territory and a temperament. Watch from cover with binoculars, learn what it eats and when it moves, and fill your field guide with what you have actually seen.

Earn trust

There is no capture ball. Animals bond through patience: the right food, the right moment, no sudden fright. Up to two bonded companions travel with you into the field.

Breed new lines

Genes blend into the body you see: size, colour, horns, living light. Pair animals at camp and follow a lineage across generations.

Survive the wild

Weather, water and predators are real. Rain fills rivers, floods spread, and a hungry pack does not care that you came to study it. Build a camp, keep it powered, and make it home.

A living ecology

Everything eats, everything is eaten, and the land remembers

Herds graze where the grass is good and move when it is not. Predators follow them. Chipmunks dam a stream and a meadow becomes a pond. Rain fills the rivers, and a storm can flood the valley floor you camped in last night.

Nothing waits for you to arrive. The world runs whether you are watching or not, and your notes are how you keep up.

Pack moved north after the flood. Follow the herons, not the wolves.

  • Ancient Woodlands

Old-growth forest with moss-deep floors and spring-fed streams, where Glowing Chipmunks build and repair their dams.

  • Windcarved Highlands

Ridges and cliff shelves above the valley, home to Sky Ibex and the wind that shapes them.

  • Tidal Marshes

Reed beds and shallow water that rise and fall, stalked by Marsh Herons; watch where you wade.

  • The Rainforest

A layered canopy of fig towers and liana bridges where primate troops live, feed and glide.

Field guide

Ten species and counting

Each one has a diet, a territory, a temper and a reason to be where it is.

Pack predator

Lumen Wolf

Hunts in coordinated packs; its markings brighten when it is close.

Dam builder

Glowing Chipmunk

Dams streams; floods and erosion change around its work.

Troop primate

Dusk Ape

Territorial at dusk and dawn, with real troop tactics, tools and snares.

Canopy glider

Lumen Spidermonkey

Roosts in colonies; its membrane’s light carries the colony’s signals.

Indicator species

Glass Salamander

Translucent and fragile; where it thrives, the water is clean.

Wading hunter

Marsh Heron

Patient, still, and very fast when it strikes.

Cliff browser

Sky Ibex

Guards its ledges; follow it and you will find the best paths up.

Burrowing herbivore

Stoneback

Roots and tunnels through the forest floor.

Small grazer

Bristlekin

Quick, wary prey that keeps everything else fed.

Ambush hunter

The Walker

Waits dark and still in the trees above the water. Do not stand under it.

Wildbound is early. This is what playtesters can play right now; everything else is on the public roadmap, not promised as done.

  • A seeded valley with the Ancient Woodlands, Windcarved Highlands, Tidal Marshes and the layered Rainforest
  • Physical water: rivers, groundwater, tides, rain feeding the water, floods, and chipmunk dams that flood, breach and erode
  • One world weather system: clear, overcast, mist, rain and storm, with real wetness and shelter
  • Animals with needs, habitats, territories, predation and visible attacks, across five anatomy families
  • Taming by trust, bonding and breeding with gene-blended bodies and living light
  • A held field tablet, a parchment journal with sketches and a hand-drawn map
  • A starter camp with a comms tower, a power grid, Rust-style building with stability, and supply orders
  • Field equipment (binoculars, flare pistol, machete, hatchet, shovel, flashlight and more) and two research scooters
